Practice nurses are qualified and registered nurses. They can help with health issues such as family planning, healthy living advice, blood pressure checks and dressings. The practice nurses run clinics for long-term health conditions such as asthma or diabetes, and carry out cervical smears as well as contraceptive implants and coil fits and checks.

Ms Nicola McCrea (f)

Nicola joined us in Sept 2019.  Her role of Mental Health Practitioner means she will see and review patients with mental health problems.

Ms Kerry Brennan (f)

Kerry is a trainee Advanced Nurse Practitioner.  She joined us in Sept 2019 for 2 years whilst she trains.  Her role is to complement the doctors by also seeing and treating patients.

Healthcare Assistants

Elaine Glenn

Healthcare assistants support practice nurses with their daily work and carry out tasks such as phlebotomy (drawing blood), blood pressure measurement, ECGs, Spirometry and new patient checks. They may act as a chaperone when a patient or doctor requests one.
